Refreshments including cream teas are available in the large well-stocked Gift and Coffee Shop which sells good quality gifts and handmade craft items, including crafts made by students of Minstead Training Trust, supporting adults with learning disabilities. A good selection of plants are also available from the adjacent nursery shop run by the Minstead Training Trust, supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Set in the heart of the New Forest at Minstead, these delightful, informal gardens were established in 1922 and offers extensive collections of azaleas and rhododendrons. Our Chelsea Garden, built by our Learning Disability Team, can be enjoyed by the lake, which won a GOLD show garden medal at the 2012 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Heather garden, Wild flower meadow, cottage garden, and a host of Summer and Winter flowering shrubs and trees of botanical interest for all seasons. Younger visitors are entertained by the secret fairy doors hidden at the base of trees, thatched structures and outlooks, and families will enjoy exploring the historic Furzey Cottage, dating back to 1560.
Originally planted in the 1920's, Furzey Gardens were saved in 1972 and have undergone extensive renovation and recreation, with the work of students from Minstead Training Trust, who have learning disabilities.
