Description of Garden

Born of one man's passionate interest in plants; Myddelton House Gardens were created by E. A. Bowles, an expert botanist, author, artist and Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society. He amassed a world renowned collection of plants and his enthusiasm for gardening is still appreciated today.

Within the Gardens are the National collection of Award Winning Bearded Iris, thousands of naturalised bulbs and many plants of real character. Do no miss the Lunatic Asylum (home to unusual plants), Tom Tiddlers Ground and the Tulip Terrace. The Gardens also have a beautiful Carp lake, conservatory, a rock garden and number of historical objects.
