Description of Garden

10 acres of garden provide the setting for a former Benedictine Priory. A private house since the dissolution of the monastries with the ancient Priory set up against the Malvern Hills. The garden was re-designed in 1982 by Arabella Lennox Boyd and Michael Balston. Close to the house are a series of rooms, edged by clipped box and yew, with formal beds of soft coloured shrubs, herbacious plants and old roses. Further away, a chain of lakes, stately trees and a profusion of spring bulbs lead the eye along the hillside, flanked by a topiary hedge and misty views to Bredon Hill and the Cotswolds.
